Tabitha Humphrey
Hi, I’m Tabitha, a disabled artist interested in nature, colour, emotions and nostalgia.
As someone who grew up estranged from their family, I feel a strong sense of purpose and need to fill the world and our lives with art about understanding emotions, love and the beauty in the everyday.
This purpose has pushed me through many rocky points in my life and has been deeply inspired by the friends I have made along the way and their stories alongside my own personal experiences. Encouraging people to understand one another by providing an experience that allows them to connect the dots and deepen their understanding of complicated/complex issues (that can only truly be understood through experience) is an asset to communication and relationship issues globally and is an area I am invested in pursuing. As someone who has led a complex life despite my young age, I can understand and visually/creatively recreate difficult subject matters in a powerful but simplistic way, making issues/subjects digestible to a broader audience.
I have also learned to see the beauty in my surroundings and I use this love of nature, colour and nostalgia to create landscape art, backgrounds, animal illustrations and characters. This working method has proven to be the most popular when working with bold line art paired with a limited colour palette or in monochrome.
Thank you and I hope you enjoy the works below 🙂
