Marinueva Trillo Zarzalejo

Microsexims

As a female, the artist has been told, seen and experience many uncomfortable situations which have made her need to express the importance of gender violence, abuse and inequality throughout sound and dance. The audio in this piece consists of a recollection of voice recordings of various segments of micro sexisms, phrases, words, and actions that we are used to hearing in our daily life in three different languages, these being, French, Spanish, and English. Meanwhile the choreography has an intention of representing society and its disproportion against what women should do and or be.
