My work attempts to explore the invisible space we move through – the rooms, buildings and landscapes in which we live. Each street, each building, new or old, has its own story. Spaces where an endless procession of people’s lives are played out.

My current practice tries to capture this by using found artefacts and site-specific installations. My aim is to suggest narratives which examine human consciousness and memory. I’m particularly influenced by the work of Doris Salcedo and Chiharu Shiota – artists who repurpose objects and perpetuate identity through memorial. Via experimentation I wish to evolve a visual language that evokes a memory of space and generate unexpected narratives and enigma.
