MA Fine Art
In present times, thinking like an artist has never been more important; to be inventive, to follow intuition, to listen, to notice, to connect, to adapt. One of the strengths of art is that it engages in a process rather than a product, asks ‘what if?’ rather than seeks an absolute answer.
Each artist studying on the MA Fine Art course has a commitment to their process and has worked toward a deeper understanding of their art practice and its subject matter, through making, exhibiting, and researching. This happens via the special ecosystem of art school, the dialogue between artists and their materials, between artists, artworks, peer groups, tutors, technical staff, curators, and galleries.
Working with the mediums of painting, sculpture, assemblage, drawing, photography, collage, electronic media, video, print, sound, performance, and creative writing, these artists have ambition to challenge themselves and challenge you, their audience.
This exhibition represents a special moment in the artists’ journey, and we invite you to explore this diverse, thought-provoking, and intelligently composed set of artworks and hope you will follow the activities of this brilliant group of people as they move onto their next adventures.
