Beccy is a multidisciplinary site responsive artist.

Her practice is primarily process led. That is to say, Beccy will use a process as a starting point, pause observe and then be led to the next step. As one thing leads to another, the practical and conceptual aspects of her work develop alongside each other.

Her starting point is often frottage (rubbing). This physical, tactile method immediately produces unique visual information, whilst also revealing traces of past existence, somehow transferring invisible memories from a place into a visible form.

Exploring through materials, Beccy seeks to gain a deeper understanding of her environment. Constantly trying to make sense of that ‘in between place’ which you feel is there but can’t quite put into words.

Her work is personal, but also provides a space for the viewer’s own thoughts.
