I am a menswear designer, specialising in bespoke tailoring with production industry experience at Victoria Beckham Limited. My design approach lies in creative pattern cutting, further improved when seen 3 dimensionally in order to manipulate forms. DECODE A/W23 is a collection of detachable garments inspired by the RAF military uniforms during the 1940s. I explore the utility aspect of garments and elevate it through new silhouettes. The use of hooks and eyes tapes and poppers transform the garments and are able to conceal messages. The collection uses a range of wool and cotton twills in military colours. The fabric exploration was achieved through laser cutting that created shades of brown. The attention to detail is highly present throughout my designs as the making quality is the main objective I actively seek. Each collection represents a new challenge and another step towards the next project.
