Animation creates an infinite sense of wonder for me, which is the feeling I hold at the core of every project. To me Animation contains limitless possibilities, it’s a place where I can explore everywhere and anywhere, and where I can be anything and anyone. It’s somewhere I can tell my stories, stand up for what I believe in, and create worlds I feel comfortable in.

Using a combination of Cinema 4D, Procreate and After Effects, this was my first attempt creating an animation encompassing both 2D and 3D techniques.

First modelling the backgrounds in Cinema 4D before animating the characters and camera, I then exported the scenes as PNG sequences. I had created looping animated textures to apply to different parts of the scene, using object buffers as luma mattes. I put these together in After Effects, before arranging the sequences in Premiere Pro to pair with the music and add any final colour adjustments.
