My final project “vegolution” combines a hand drawn, frame by frame animation style,  along with a variety of crucial animation techniques. I made use of secondary animation, follow through and exaggeration to bring my piece to life. The focus of my animation was to enjoy the process of creating a video that fit an important narrative whilst consisting of the styles and techniques that I admire. We often forget the importance of an ideal diet, which can also be achieved whilst cutting down on meat, or considering a vegetarian diet. I made use of Procreate for shorter projects as well as Krita, for longer pieces. I admire 1920’s cartoon style drawings and the way they’re brought to life through repetition and exaggerated facial expressions, plus how they have influenced gaming and modern cartoons. Cuphead is a beautifully designed videogame, completely hand drawn and inspired mostly by mickey mouse and betty boop.
