Hello there, my name is Nahin Chowdhury and I am a graduating Games Art & Design student who has a growing passion for concept art, 3D modelling and steady interest in game building..
This project of mine is a playable 3D environment where the player can immerse themselves in this medieval fantasy themed village known as Cobblegrove. This environment consists of all the 3D models and textures that I have created, ranging from the houses, to the objects, to the grass, waters, and fires. This environment allows me to showcase my 3D skills and my creative thinking to the viewer / player.
Within the environment itself, you controll one main character, being this local villager boy, where you can take in the medieval experience and create your own narrative scenarios based on what you’ve seen. For instance, the blacksmith has this magical and advanced equipment which stands out to the rest of the villagers tools, which can get you thinking as to why or how he has all of this. There is also a distant campsite from the village to which the player can discover, allowing them to think of a story as to why this is here and what are the organizers intentions are.
Throughout this project, I used clip studio paint for my concept sketches, Blender for the 3D modelling, and Unity for the world building.
This project has allowed me to put all of my creative thinking and skills to the maximum as I wanted to create the best possible piece of work, being inspired by various medieval RPG games such as Skyrim, and more.
