My art practice follows stories of emotional turbulence within British social life. I aim to represent how mental illness finds melodrama within the mundanity of everyday routine. References to pub culture and football explore how feelings of loneliness and togetherness coexist within a collective identity and investigate the dominance of hegemonic masculinity within these environments.

Inspired by surrealism and caricature in children’s television and story books, my work takes form in animation, figurines and drawings which retain a handmade feel that my making process embraces.
