I am a highly enthusiastic individual who is motivated about the movement of communication in the fashion industry. When studying I strive to research deeply due to my interest in social issues that influence fashion to meet marketing expectations and to ensure my work is current, to achieve success with theatrical imagery and set design allows my work to present strong reasons behind my work for impact and an emotional response.
My methods of presentation can vary my style to engage in spontaneous briefs for different audiences. My variety indicates my commitment to broaden my horizons. I see a number of different paths to find myself a rewarding career that allows me to integrate with creative people and communicate across a whole spectrum of platforms.

Nana’s Pearls is a solo mixed media project created by Izzy Dixon during lockdown. Showcasing my 94 year old Nana as my creative muse to highlight the absence of the older generation, particularly in fashion campaigns and beauty adverts. Much of the older generation have spent some of their precious remaining time dramatically influenced by lockdown restrictions. Often living in isolation with limited access to modern communication technology and prevented from seeing loved ones. I wanted to showcase a colourful, fun, and hope filled representation of the older generation, shaking off dour and critical stereotypes and present to you an alternative viewof celebrating life at any age. My irrepressible, wonderful, and somewhat mischievous Nana remains my inspiration. Still young at heart, she brought both joy and tears during the creation of this project. I hope you will find much to relate to. I am beyond proud to introduce to you Nana’s Pearls.
This project includes a visual love letter in lookbook format to present my photography alongisde moving image film that displays character, memory and the emotional responses to getting older; alongside stills, behind the scenes and documentation. The film introduces the relationship between someone born in 1926 and 1999; with the age gap decreasing between generations in terms of style and attitude. Through the lighthearted film and lookbook I strive to indicate my feelings, perception with well researched and thought out processes to the viewer..
