For this project I focused on exploring the often overlooked aspects of the city of Brighton. Utilising a mix of analogue and digital techniques, I experimented with visually representing data about Brighton such as the topography of the city. I also exploring the visual language of the city by working with found imagery, such as ripped posters. Ultimately for my final outcome I focused on documenting and mapping smells recorded around Brighton, and the memories they can trigger. I produced a book which the viewer can use to explore Brighton depending on what they want to smell, with an aim to create a new and more mindful way to experience the city.
