The work is about a series of Self-portraits. The series is inspired by the works of
photographers like Vivian Maier and Lee Friedlander. In this series titled, “The State of Myself”,
I have used the Self-portraits as a mean to reflect on myself and to situate myself within the
environment/surroundings. The photographs reflect on the mood in which they have been taken,
and portray the moments of confusion, or clarity that I felt. The photographs reflect on my
techniques and process of clicking a picture, as well as my state of mind.
