My practice aims to explore and capture a sense of the fleeting and the ephemeral; moments where light and space come together to evoke a sense of impermanence of nature and the passing of time.

Using photography I capture fragments, moments or glimpses of light and shadow in space, capturing images that often generate a sense of quietness and stillness, perhaps evoking a memory or imagined image. Through a variety of print languages, in particular photo-mechanical processes such as lithography and cyanotype, I use methods of distorting, cropping, and repeating the image, pushing it beyond the original into a new constructed space. I also like to explore the material surface, choosing paper which further amplifies the images ephemeral subject and exhibiting in ways to emphasise the fragility of perception and creating a journey navigating the temporality of nature in the space.
