My work aims to showcase a series of essential skills and experiments I have learnt and carried out throughout this academic year, such as orthographic drawings, 3D models, real-life camera obscura experiment, 2 points perspectives, and CAD. The most enjoyable experience this year has been the diverse projects and skills, as well as the amazing support from the teachers, guiding me towards finding my own style and expressing myself through the designs and models I have created. Producing my work has lead to a greater understanding and exploration of different drawings and model making techniques, as well as teaching me more elegant and subtle ways of tackling a project, while taking into consideration a series of factors such as context and programme activity. The work has also allowed for experimentation with both structure and interior experience, and due to those experiments I could discover my affinity towards structures and large-scale constructions, thus assuring that architecture is the right pathway to follow in the years to come. The process of developing those drawings and models involved iterating and improving an idea. Throughout the IFY numerous architects and artists such as Wassily Kandinsky, Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier, Zaha Hadid, and Victor Horta stood as inspiration, and examples in both design development and work ethic.
