Water is the essence of life. We need it to survive, and our world is covered by it. Humans have always had a relationship with water. Many compare the sensation of being in the water with “going back home”. Water relaxes us and calms our minds, but not everyone has the same experience of it. For some, it can be the source of deep fears or the inspiration for their art.
This work explores the relationship we have with water in interdisciplinary research that considers biology, neurology, physiology, psychology, literature and anthropology, through communication design, music, film and photography to gain insight into sustainable development through water.
