MA Textiles
I am very proud to present the work from the MA Textiles graduating students. In the spirit of the course, this year’s students have again demonstrated the diversity of textiles as a creative discipline, developing their own individual and innovative practices to a very high standard. Whether through design, technique, material or conceptual understanding, the students have developed a strong foundation of research, experimental practice, and critical reflection, from which to inform their future careers.
Although facing the unsurety of the current global situation, this year’s students coped with each twist and turn with professionalism and a sense of determination, adapting to evolving situations whist maintaining a focus and remaining true to their intended goals. The pandemic also offered increased relevance, to some students, whose work on the use of textiles for health and wellbeing applications within domestic spaces, took on a greater importance as we were all forced to again spend a greater amount of time at home.
Meeting the challenges of a changing world has provided a strong foundation for their future careers, for which we wish them all, the greatest of success.
